My name is Emily and I am fourteen years old. I wanted to set up this support group again to help other people cope with alopecia. I know that other children do not get the support they need from their families and friends.
That is why I wanted to start this group, to meet new people and for the little kids to make friends.
I think that anyone with alopecia should not bring themselves down about it; they have more reason to do stuff than anyone else. I am very lucky because I have achieved a lot in the last few years.
When I was younger I used to get bullied a lot but all I thought was that they are the ones with the problem, not me, and that I am just a normal person. It is what other people with alopecia should think about too.
